The following off the shelf products are all 3D printed using Selective Laser Sintering or Multi Jet Fusion processes in the materials, tolerance and finish shown here.
Simply email (using the above address) your order requirements and we will contact you to create a proforma invoice including shipping and payment details. All shipments will be insured and traceable.
As each item is made to order the manufacturing lead time from payment is typically 15 working days, plus shipping time. Subject to any unforeseen process delay, or very exceptionally, re-manufacture requirement.
With the increasing failure rate of the now out of production original АГИ-1К (AGI-1K) Attitude Indicator, with no accessible overhaul facility, the only option is replacement with a modern equivalent.
A cost-effective option is the uAvionix AV-30 EFIS, designed for a standard 3” / 80mm panel aperture, requiring an adapter to locate it into the significantly larger original equipment opening.
A plate has been developed to facilitate this without additional panel modification, using the original mounting slots, preserving a degree of rotational positioning if required.
The adapter is secured using flush fitting socket head bolts, washers and Nyloc nuts, all finished in black, to complement the standard adapter plate dyed black finish.
This provides a high contrast backdrop, aiding the readability of the display, in an otherwise busy panel layout.
The adapter can also be supplied in its natural material ‘speckled white’ finish, that you can then Acrylic paint to match your cockpit panel colour.
The AV-30 adapter plate, including all fittings, is priced at GBP 69 (no VAT) + shipping.
Please specify whether a ‘black’ or ‘natural’ finish adapter is required ... at no additional cost.
The original cockpit control knobs were finished with hand-painted white / blue / red markings to differentiate their function. This finish quickly deteriorates as the paint flakes off with handling ... repainting similarly only offers a short-term fix.
Additionally the slotted retention bolt is hard to access in the limited space available, especially for knobs mounted with the bolt head facing the fuselage wall.
The solution to these issues is a modular knob, with individual permanently dyed colour bands, allowing a one-size-fits-all approach. Such that a stock knob can be readily assembled, according to function colour, with a long-lasting finish.
The modular knob's interlocking components are held together with a supplied black finished metric socket countersunk bolt and a corresponding Nyloc retention nut, that's recessed flush into the back of the knob.
When tightened with a right-angled 2.5mm hex key this creates a secure fitting that eases installation in the constrained work space.
Control knobs, with mounting hardware and a set of same colour bands, are priced at GBP 29 (no VAT) + shipping.
Offered as standard with white, blue or red coloured bands ex-stock, additional colours can be created to special order for an additional GBP 10 per order.
Please specify the band colour required when placing your order.
There have been ground gear-up incidents with these aircraft attributable, in part, to the poor ergonomic layout of the gear & flap controls and their associated warning lights.
Compounded by both the gear & flaps knobs being identically shaped without any markings!
To address this issue replacement knobs have been developed that are clearly purpose marked ... with the flap knob marked on opposite sides for extra clarity.
As well as being functionally shaped to provide a tactile reminder, based on FAR Part 23.781 guidelines.
These are direct replacements for the 11mm diameter control spindle knobs in the following aircraft;
All individual gear or flap knobs are priced at GBP 24 (no VAT) + shipping
* YAK-52 rear gear control has a specific knob designed for it, please note this in your order.
The TRIG TS20 head unit (for the TT21/22 Mode S Transponder) and the TRIG TC90 head unit (for the TY91/92 8.33K Radio) are an ideal combination for the front cockpit of the YAK-52.
The TRIG 8.33K radios have a built in intercom so no additional facility is required to replace the aging SPU-9 intercom original equipment. And by locating the radio higher in the panel, replacing the SPU-9, improves the operational ergonomics.
The rear cockpit SPU-9 intercom panel can then either be blanked off or a second TRIG TC90 head unit fitted, allowing control of the radio from either cockpit. A useful addition when the cockpit workload is high or for training purposes.
The TRIG TS20 transponder head neatly fits into the space occupied by the original equipment BAKLAN-5 radio and, by offsetting the design to the left, allows it to vertically align with a TRIG 8.33K radio mounted above.
This makes for a clean installation that provides clearance for both units from the adjacent instrument panel when opened up.
It also provides room for an (optional) intercom MIC control switch on the right hand side of the transponder head, a handy feature for passenger briefing or training.
Both mounting plates orientate the TRIG head units (up and to the left) to optimise their display viewing angles to the pilot.
Enabling the displays to be easily viewed, as if conventionally mounted face on at eye level, without incurring all the instrument panel alteration complexity and expense this would otherwise involve.
This would also be extremely difficult, and prohibitively costly, to engineer with conventional metal mounting plates; however 3D printing makes this more affordable while still allowing for customisation.
The TY91/92 radio and/or TT21/22 transponder main unit trays can be installed (one above the other) on the SPU-9 back plate, located on the front seat-back bulkhead forward of the rear instrument panel.
With power from the ‘Ignition’ switch feed via Klixon type breakers mounted adjacent to the front panel head units.
This allows the cable bundle to run along the starboard fuselage, avoiding the magneto and tachometer cabling on the port side that can be potential sources of interference.
While enabling the ‘G’ & ‘Stall’ warning audio feed from the ‘Acoustic Warning Box’ to be picked up en-route into the intercom ‘Aux In’.
By installing the TRIG dual radio / transponder together as a package allows installation cost savings and data cabling consolidation.
All plates are now supplied complete with a set of black finished socket button head fasteners, plus a spare.
